Len Lets Loose on Lazy Lizard
email this pageprint this pageemail usJOY! - PVNN

Parry (L) translated for a while, though he got a bit skittish after Len (R) tried to convince him to get a wax job...

Eight year old Alex (R) helped Len out by calling the numbers in Spanish.

I tried all night to get a picture of Len in his highly risqué pants, but he didn't actually keep them on long enough for me to get one!

Len auctioned off his... bits, namely, his favourite purse and the bathing suit he was wearing.

Len cruised through the crowd wearing only that suit and the purse collecting donations for the children.

Sudy Coy, the R.I.S.E. fundraising queen, had the best time. But don't take my word for it, this picture speaks for itself.
We had even more people at Lazy Lizard Charity Bingo Night this week than we did last week, and last week was a full house! I knew it would be a night to remember, but as it turns out, I probably couldn't forget it even if I tried! I'll tell you one thing; Len is a bloke who definitely goes the extra mile. Goodonya Len!

He brought the entire Blu Crew to the Lazy Lizard, gathered bags and bags of fabulous prizes to give away, regaled us with a selection of racy and very funny jokes, and arranged three makeovers while calling the bingo numbers.

Talk about multi-tasking. The only thing he couldn't do was call the numbers in Spanish, Parry translated for a while, though he got a bit skittish after Len tried to convince him to get a wax job so he could model one of the Blu star bathing suits.

Eight year old Alex and his younger brother were magnetized to the scene, aware that Len was trying to say something in Spanglish but no one was clear as to what. By the end of the evening Alex had taken pity on him and was doing the number translation for us.

I've been going through the several hundred photos that I took on this outrageous night looking for a good one of Len in his highly risqué pants, but he didn't actually keep them on long enough for me to get a good shot!

The hoped for balding fellow with a ponytail and mismatched crocs never materialized, the audience was forewarned about the beauty interventions and everyone turned up looking unreasonably attractive.

So Len didn't get to brandish his hedge clippers, or vivisect anyone with his tongue, instead he settled for taking his clothes off and auctioning off his... bits, namely his favourite purse and the bathing suit he was wearing.

Pamella was in seventh heaven when she won the hand beaded New York Martini purse with her bid of $1000 pesos. Mind you this was before the tussle that ensued when Len realised she was actually going to be taking his beloved purse home.

He cruised through the crowd wearing only that suit and the purse collecting donations for the children. Interestingly no-one actually put money in the purse, the suit however, bulged with more than $1000 pesos by the time he finished!

Sudy, the R.I.S.E. fundraising queen, had the best time. I don't think the credit card he collected was hers, but I was standing close enough to witness her trying to run it through... well never mind, I'll let the photos speak for themselves.

Marsha's bid of $500 pesos won her Len's bathing suit, we won't go in to how she collected it. Newly engaged couple Fabio and Alejandro won the first Lazy Lizard L, they both got a free drink. Mickey, one of Vallarta's favourite actresses, celebrated with them in a LLL happy dance.

Meanwhile, behind the scenes, Team Blu was doing 30 minute makeovers for Alicia, Len and Dottie. Alicia's beautiful hair was a fun focus for the team and Len was ecstatic about his makeover, he had tried to get in to Blu for a session but they had been booked. It was definitely Dottie's night though, not only did she get a makeover she won two bingos! She was last seen going to buy a lottery ticket.

But the big winners were, of course, the children from the Refugio. Thanks to Len and his amazing crew, we raised $6180 pesos, more than doubling in a single night what R.I.S.E. gets from the government to look after the kids for a whole month.

Every Thursday night it gets bigger folks. Let's keep the trend going. My goal is to make sure those kids have enough money to eat well every week, and Vallarta's most beloved celebrities are going to all sorts of lengths to help make that happen.

Come be a part of the fun! Next Thursday, Lazy Lizard will present an entirely different kind of half time show, one that will leave you gasping in awe at the incredible skill, beauty and grace of the ten gorgeous half naked men who will be performing... well, come see for yourself.

Don't miss Charity Bingo Night every Thursday night between 7 pm and 9 pm at The Lazy Lizard on the beach next to La Palapa. Go put it on your calendar right now! Arrive early, because after 7:30 pm, it's standing room only at these events - besides you don't want to miss the chance to win some of these fabulous prizes!
