America's Cup Racing is the ultimate sailing experience. Once an exclusive activity for millionaires and professional yacht racers, now you can live the excitement in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico on Vallarta Adventures America's Cup Challenge. Click HERE for more Vallarta Adventure's videos.
Get caught up in the exhilaration of the race on the new excursion by Vallarta Adventures Tour Company, American's Cup Sailing. You've seen these magnificent sailboats compete for the sport's most coveted prize. It is now your chance to tap into the spirit of the sea.

Slicing through the surf in the Bay of Banderas, the majestic 80-foot long sailboat with the mast towering over 100 feet above the deck is beauty in motion. But it takes a lot of hard work by the crew to make that happen.

Considered yacht racing's Holy Grail, the America's Cup has captured the hearts of sailors since 1852. Vallarta Adventures Tour Company gives you the chance to participate in the ultimate sailing experience.

"I am a passionate sailor and this is an opportunity of a lifetime," says Grant Meder, a sailing enthusiast, "I get to see it on TV, so this tour will make it much more real, plus I get to see some of Puerto Vallarta at the same time."

The America's Cup Sailing tour pits two authentic racing yachts against each other. Team Australia number 29 and number 31, complete with Aussie crews, go head to head in their own private regatta. Both of these ships sailed in America's Cup races in 1995 and 2000.

No experience is required, and the professional crew shows competitors what to do - from tacking and jibing to grinding the winch and trimming the sails. There are three heats to this race, and you can participate as much or as little as you like.

"It was very accommodating and I thought it was worth the money and would recommend it to anyone, even if you're afraid of sailing," says Stephanie Courts, First Mate, "It was a very relaxing sail, even when we were close to the water, the afternoon was just wonderful."

Ahoy mates, experience the thrill of America's Cup Sailing, pick up some schooner vocabulary, and celebrate the victory on this once-in-a-lifetime adventure in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
