Preparations are in full swing for Venezuela’s prestigious 14th Annual International La Guaira Billfish Shootout Tournament scheduled from April 8th through the 13th, and this year’s event promises to be one of the best ones yet.
Same as last year, this year’s Shootout will be the first leg of the famed Spanish Main Caribbean Series. Several new sponsors have come on board such as Diplomatico Rum, GlobalStar Venezuela, and Flying Fisherman Sunglasses among others.
In addition, part of the proceeds from Shootout 2008 will be donated to Fundacion Amigos del Niño con Cancer (Friends of Children with Cancer Foundation,) and a dinner and silent auction during the tournament will be dedicated to raising funds for this worthwhile cause.
