Fever, will be playing at Santa Barbara Theater every Thursday night in April at 8 pm. For tickets, call (322) 223-2048.

A full theater of friends, fellow actors and theater-goers cheered on Mikki Prost's very "hot" new show, Fever!, which premiered on April 3rd at the newly-owned Santa Barbara Theater, located at Olas Altas #351 on the south side of Puerto Vallarta.

Local performer Ann Marie Daminus is the new owner, with Mikki Prost as the manager for Ann Marie.

Mikki appears to have a long-running show in the works for next high season. Packed with a variety of songs, it displays Mikki's hutzpah and her abilities to interact with and enliven an audience.

Songs are featured from Chicago, from Patsy Cline, and from the 50īs and 60īs. Different costumes add to the stage scene. Mikki uses clever choreography, and has quite a dance surprise in the show. As a dancer since 3 years of age, she became a pofessional ice skater at age 18. She has been teaching yoga for more than 30 years.

Mikki credits former Spotlight Productions founder, Kathleen Hennen, for bringing her to acting and singing in Vallarta, as of 2001. She first acted here in Steel Magnolias.

Other shows through April are being scheduled including Siempre Sol, Nunsense and Dolly Would If Kenny Could. A fundraiser is planned in May to fund scholarships for performing arts students.

Call Santa Barbara Theater for information and reservations at (322) 223-2048.
