Puerto Vallarta: Together We CAN Make a Difference!
email this pageprint this pageemail usPVNN

On May 23rd, join us in our efforts to bring tourism back to Puerto Vallarta by participating in a March for Tourism that begins at the Holiday Inn at 5 pm and ends at Los Arcos on the Malecón. (PromoVision)
Between the troubled American economy and the recent Swine Flu scare, tourism is down all over Mexico. Many Vallartenses want to do something to make things better as soon as possible, so concerned citizens are organizing a march to let the world know that Puerto Vallarta is a safe, healthy, affordable and entertaining vacation destination.

On Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 5 pm, hundreds of Vallartenses, both native born and adoptive from Mexico City, Guadalajara the US and Canada will dress in white and gather together at the Holiday Inn in the Hotel Zone to march to the Los Arcos Amphitheater on the Malecón in downtown Puerto Vallarta in an effort to bring tourism back to the Bay of Banderas region.

Even though everything seems to be back to normal here, we are suffering the consequences, many people have lost their jobs, workers have been laid off or have had their hours cut back and businesses are suffering a loss in sales.

These are just some of the reasons why we are inviting everyone to participate. Instead of sitting at home with your arms crossed thinking there is nothing you can do, take just 2 hours of your time to take part in the March for Tourism. Together, we CAN make a difference! The more people that participate, the greater impact this community effort will have.

If you are in Puerto Vallarta, make a sign or banner telling the world why you love Puerto Vallarta if you like, dress in white, and join us! If you own a home or business along the parade route, show your support by hanging a banner or white sheet from your window or store front. If you are out of town, but would like to help us in our efforts to bring tourism back to Puerto Vallarta, organize a march in your city.

• O simplemente quieres paz colectiva
