"You can't kill the truth by killing by journalists"
Mexico City — A journalist has been killed in southern Mexico, the fourth slain in the country so far this year.

The leader of the journalists union in Guerrero state says Evaristo Pacheco worked for the regional weekly Vision Informativa. Police say he was shot to death Friday after being snatched from a nightclub in the state capital, Chilpancingo.

The press group Reporters Without Borders on Monday accused Mexican authorities of not doing enough to stop such attacks.

The official death toll for Mexican journalists is four. The Inter-American Press Association says a fifth was recently killed in the border city of Reynosa, but media outlets there are too afraid to file a police report.

Twelve reporters were killed in Mexico in 2009.
