Carnes del Mundo in Bucerías - a World of Meat for the Meat Lovers

August 25, 2010

Open Monday-Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, Carnes del Mundo is located at Heroe de Nacozari #31 in Bucerías, Nayarit. For more information and photos, visit my blog, Cooking in Mexico. (photos by Irma Quast)
Carnes del Mundo in Bucerías, Nayarit, offers the most extensive meat selection imaginable. Dry-aged steaks, specialty sausages, such as duck prosciutto and cherry smoked duck breast, and other specialties, like turducken and an array of house-made meat sauces, make this a meat market to rival any in the western world.

Kyle and Irma Quast, formerly of Desperado Deli at the Marina Vallarta boatyard, now concentrate their efforts and talents in one location in Bucerías. Local meat lovers owe it to themselves to visit a meat market on this scale and try some of their flavorful steaks and sausages.

For Puerto Vallarta residents, it is a 20 minutes drive to Bucerías. For residents of the north bay area, a most amazing meat market is right in your backyard.

Directions, more information and photos are on my food blog, Cooking in Mexico.
Kathleen Dobek explores the culinary traditions of Mexico from her home in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Nayarit. Through regular columns on BanderasNews and via her Cooking in Mexico blog, Kathleen shares her experiences in Mexico and introduces the great variety of New World ingredients and contemporary dishes of this country to the foreigners who visit and live here.
