Qlick.com.mx is Mexico’s newest business to business portal offering a wide range of products and services across most industries.
Mijo! Brands, the brand and web strategy consultancy, is proud to announce the launch of Qlick.com.mx, Mexico’s newest business to business portal offering a wide range of products and services across most industries.

Qlick´s management team were previously at a leading Mexican Hotel Chain and saw great opportunities to take the seamless infrastructure and systems that make hotels run smoothly and apply these practices to business that often do not have the internal structures or resources to achieve efficiencies to compete at a regional or national level.

The company had a soft launch in June 2010 and has grown quickly to over 30 people, half of which is made up of the sales force in Mexico's major territories. Qlick has an aggressive expansion program for its two main pillars business consultancy and training for SMEs and the business portal that links suppliers and buyers from across all sectors including construction, décor, manufacturing, and transport. The company has attracted a raft of customers from small business to national and international conglomerates.

The fast approaching Federal Government legislation that all companies operating in Mexico must issue electronic or digital facturas by the end of the year has helped Qlick gain new momentum.

"According to government statistics, less than 10% of organizations in Mexico are prepared for the change in the reporting laws for Hacienda. There is much misinformation, as one of the few authorized suppliers of the new electronic facturas, we are working diligently to inform our customer base of the requirements mandated in law to help them avoid hefty fines for non-compliance. Many business people, both national and expats, are in ignorance of the law and unaware of the fast approaching December 31 2010 limit for compliance," explains Katy Ochoa, Director General at Qlick.com.mx.

Qlick´s concept is to allow business to grow quickly and effectively by leveraging the power of the Internet, as yet not fully realized in Mexico. The portal, works much like Amazon or Mercado Libre, where suppliers upload their company bio and contact details, product portfolio and a quality guarantee.

However, Qlick has a stringent quality assurance program that allows only pre-qualified buyers and sellers into the patented system to ensure only the best companies and their products and services are represented. Their goal is to open new markets for the most innovative and talented companies in Mexico.

The 15 member sales effort is being supported by an integrated marketing campaign that includes a telemarketing effort, an SEO and SEM and social media component, and a traditional media campaign in Vallarta, Nuevo Leon and Guadalajara in print, online and billboards across the 3 cities and of course merchandise give-aways, all designed by Mijo! Brands (the brand agency developing Puerto Vallarta's new official website). Qlick will launch campaigns in Mexico and Monterrey in the new year.

Interest in the new company has been strong at several expos attended by Qlick particularly amongst Chinese businesses who are interested in getting a foothold in Mexico and developing a distribution strategy and credible suppliers for their products in this country. Interest has also been strong in Columbia and Brazil. While the partners will not confirm their international strategy, they are of course eager to see Qlick go global.

Mijo! Brands worked closely with the Qlick management team to conduct a market and competitor audit, develop the brand strategy and design, the ID, develop and program the business portal. The advertising campaign launched in May is rooted in Mexico’s heritage and richness of culture and story-telling.
