If there was ever a time in history to impeach a President of the United States, it would be now. In my opinion, it is two years too late. Shouldn't war be an absolute last resort? We went to war because we were misled. And we should be angry because of the 2,000 American soldiers and the 200 armed coalition forces that have died.

We should be livid because of the 15,000 American soldiers that have been horribly maimed and wounded. We should be disgusted because of the 30,000 innocent Iraqi civilians that have been killed and the 20,000 that are wounded after administration officials claimed that the US was going to liberate the Iraqi people.

When does it stop? It stops with the indictment and impeachment of this corrupt, power-hungry, greedy group of incompetent leaders. How many more have to die before this happens?
- Barbara Streisand
Must disagree over assessment of libertarian economics as cause of New Orleans and other woes. Bush is not a libertarian, he is a fascist. Fascists believe in the power of the state to run everything in partnership with big business for the exclusive benefit of the state and big business. Notice how fast Haliburton got government contracts to rebuild after Katrina while locals were shut out. Ditto with Iraq.

People don't matter to Bush (or Kerry) or the government. Fascism has no place for individuals. In this disregard for people ultra right and ultra left are the same. Of course "trickle down" economics is a sham but so is social security. A libertarian would say no government ever cared about people and government has always lied about it. Therefore, the smallest government governs best.

Like your website and numerous articles. Thanks for all of it.

Deceitful Democrats
Many Democrats are very judgmental about the actions of President Bush because they fail to take a close look at the lies and deceitful actions of those in their own Party. For example:

In the Presidential debate of Oct. 22, 1976 between President Ford and Jimmy Carter, Carter stated that he did not favor a constitutional amendment to outlaw abortion, and he would only work within the confines of the Supreme Court ruling to minimize the NEED for abortions. That is like saying, “I’m against slavery, but I will not work to change an unjust law, lets just work to reduce the NUMBER of slaves.”

From a speech by President Johnson, Oct. 21, 1964, at Akron University, Ohio: "We are not about to send American boys 9 or 10,000 miles away from home to do what Asian boys ought to be doing for themselves." In 1968, Johnson's last full year as President, there were over 500,000 American soldiers in Vietnam. During Johnson's Presidency, over 30,000 American soldiers died in the Vietnam War. In addition, by the end of 1968, millions of South Vietnamese civilians were left homeless, and over 180,000 North Vietnamese civilians had been killed.

January 26, 1998: In the presence of First Lady Hillary Clinton, and Vice President Al Gore in the Roosevelt Room of the White House, President Clinton stated: "But I want to say one thing to the American people. I want you to listen to me. I'm going to say this again: I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky. I never told anybody to lie, not a single time - never. These allegations are false."

For 1992's Hurricane Andrew, federal help for Florida did not arrive until the 4th day. Clinton never assumed responsibility for this late action by his administration.

Click HERE to view the story - Park Conflict puts Vendors, Ecologists, Businesses and City Hall at Odds by David Agren - GuadalajaraReporter.com
I am writing you in response to the article that you ran regarding the Park Conflict. My husband and I own a Condominium at Villa's Vista Del Sol. Which has been impacted by the Vendor's being moved to our street, supposedly, while the construction is taking place?

Who ever made the decision to put the Vendor's in that location, needs their head examined! Seriously, it is a no win situation for all of us! First of all there is very little traffic on that street, since it is a dead end street, so the Vendor's cannot possibly make the sale's that they have previously been accustomed to. In fact many of them haven't even opened up their carts. And, the ones who have, leave trash, etc. The area smells horrible and the street is very dirty and unkept.

As far as the Owners of Villa's Vista Del Sol, we have lost badly needed parking for our building. Service trucks can no longer safely come down the street to make their delivery's. The 2 restaurant's have no parking for their patrons. We are surrounded by 19 Carts! It is insane!

Why don't they put the Vendor's in the town plaza, or along the Malecon? Where they have a chance to make a living. Not to mention that the zoning is more appropriate for that type of business. If the powers at be are trying to make downtown a better place, they should put some thought on how they are impacting the community.

Instead, without a warning, care or concern about the impact to all parties involved! Boom... 3 a.m. Cart's are moved onto Aquiles Serdan. Now it is a mess! and, we are all suffering the consequence! Something need to be done. Now, before high season arrives. HELP!

Hey Bob!
Your website is excellent. I really mean it. There is tons of information, not just about the Banderas area but about the entire world. Wow! It is in my favorites. I am now a regular reader.

This year we will be in Nuevo for the first two weeks of October at Paradise Village. We thought it would be fun to attend the Jefferson Starship concert while we're there. We would just catch a bus down to the Marina. Please let me know once you have info about where/how to buy tickets. Thanks again.

Robert
Well, it didn't take long, did it?
In the USA, the curtain opened on new anti-terror follies Wednesday when three Senate committees, in blustery response to the London bombings, voted to extend the power of the FBI under the Patriot Act to obtain library records without a subpoena.

Exactly what suicide bomber or sleeper cell has so far been exposed by this powerful new intelligence weapon, we are not told. Did Osama fail to return his copy of 'Harry Potter'? Or 'Hijacking for Idiots'?

What we have here is the great con: to get us to pull each other's hair over the sanctity of library card privacy. We're dragged into some nit-wit debate over the "balance between security and civil liberties" - with the defenders of America against terrorism sneering at the sissies from the ACLU.

Civil libertarians are all shook up that the FBI is going through our summer reading list. My concern is deeper. What I want to know is, who at the FBI is poring over my choice of novels, how much do we pay this guy and why isn't he reviewing Swiss and Pakistani bank transfer records instead?

If our nation's safety depends on enlisting Miriam the Librarian for anti-terror espionage, then I'm checking out.

Dear Bob,
I just read your story on us with great interest. You surely covered just about everything there was to cover in regard to our 22nd Annual IBF/USBA Convention. I want to thank you for taking the time to be at the annual banquet, and for covering the event. I am sure President Marian Muhammad will surely appreciate the article.

Sincerely,

Dear Team,
If ever there were a time for America to support the United Nations and bring the world’s nations together, it’s now.

So all we can do is shake our heads in total disbelief at President Bush’s nomination of John Bolton - a man who’s dedicated his career to undermining the UN - as our nation’s UN Ambassador.

John Bolton argued against the U.S. 1) paying its back dues to the UN, 2) joining the International Criminal Court, and 3) strengthening disarmament treaties. His overall philosophy is encapsulated in this startling quotation from the New Yorker:

"It is a big mistake for us to grant any validity to international law," said Bolton, "even when it may seem in our short-term interest to do so - because over the long term, the goal of those who think international law really means anything are those who want to constrict the United States."

Anyone who believes this should stay as far away from the United Nations as possible.

If you’d like to send a message to your Senators urging them to oppose the Bolton nomination, click HERE.

Yours for a UN Ambassador the world can trust,

Darcy Scott Martin

Yesterday I was having some work done at the Ford dealer. A woman came in and asked for a seven-hundred-ten. We all looked at each other, and the mechanic asked, "What is a seven-hundred-ten?" She replied, "You know, the little piece in the middle of the engine, I lost it and need a new one. It had always been there."

The mechanic gave the woman a piece of paper and a pen and asked her to draw what the piece looked like. She drew a circle and in the middle of it wrote 710. He then took her over to another car, which had the hood up and asked, "Is there a 710 on this car?" She pointed and said, "Of course, it's right there."

I went down to Boston Common yesterday to join the protest marking the second anniversary of the Iraq invasion. There were thousands of people there, a great many of them young people. The speakers were excellent, the music inspirational.

A fact to consider: The mainstream news media all but buried stories about the global protests this weekend. CNN.com even ran an online poll at one point asking if it was time to have the Iraq protests stopped. Yet consider that last year, to mark the first anniversary, there were 319 protests all across the country. This year, there were 765 protests all across the country.

There's something happening here.

Holding torches, some 2,000 people form the sign of peace during an antiwar and anti-violence rally in the Heroes Square in central Budapest, Hungary. The rally was organized by the Humanist Movement of Hungary to mark the second anniversary of the US-led invasion of Iraq.

If you joined a protest somewhere, I'd like to hear about it.

It's budget time again, and President Bush has released another budget plan that is hundreds of pages long and really hard to decipher. TrueMajorityACTION has plowed through the rows of figures, and it's just more guns and less butter.

Our founder, Ben Cohen (the ice cream guy), says there’s an easier way to see how Washington really spends our dough. He’s a food guy, so he uses stacks of Oreos to show people where their taxes really go - and how easy it would be to spend them more wisely. He even made a short cartoon of his demonstration, and over a million people have seen it. Click HERE to see the Oreo cartoon

Now we’ve made it possible for you to take the budget and make it stack up more fairly. Think good schools make for a strong country? Move the money for just one new submarine into education, and you can hire 110,000 new teachers! You get the idea. Then just click the mouse to send your budget priorities to Congress.

Thanks, and have fun,

Last night, at the People's Choice Awards, "Fahrenheit 9/11" was named the Best Movie of the Year. It was a stunning moment for us. And, somewhere inside the Bush White House, someone there must have been stunned, too.

21 million people voted in the People's Choice Awards. They chose our film over "Shrek 2," "Spiderman 2" and "The Incredibles." If we can beat that many superheroes, surely we can survive the next four years.

I can think of no greater honor for us this year than the award bestowed upon us last night by the American people. On live television, with no threat of my remarks being censored or cut short, I thanked all of you and the rest of our fellow Americans and dedicated the prize to the parents of our servicemen and women in Iraq, the Lila Lipscombs of America who suffer so profoundly by the reckless actions of the Bush administration.

It was an historic moment as no documentary had ever won the People's Choice Award for Best Picture. And I thank each and every one of you who voted and made that happen. - Yours, Michael Moore
Señor Eliseo Bello Almeida - Agua ManI am emailing you from London England and found you when I was surfing the net for information for our new company to be based in Spain called Aguaman-Europe. We will be selling "Point of Use" water coolers, and guess what we found? Señor Eliseo Bello Almeida - Agua Man - in the profile you did on him.

He is now the inspiration for our company. In Spain we have sole distribution for a market leading water dispenser from a UK company called Waterlogic, these dispensing machines provide chilled, purified drinking water 24/7.

Please tell your Agua Man that when we have made our fortune we will be coming down "Mexico Way" to reward him!

Kind Regards to our new amigos in Puerto Vallarta from Tom Dean and Reg Golding - Aguaman-Europe
