Designers from the CRATE Interiors team, who work in Puerto Vallarta and Los Angeles, Houston and Orlando, were on the look-out for key resort-friendly trends to influence furnishing projects for the upcoming high season. This season's show was buzzing with fresh ideas, new vendors and décor exhibits sure to inspire and excite conversations with home buyers around the Bay of Banderas.
According to the latest Vallarta Real Estate Fair Report over 1,100 condominiums, villas, homes, haciendas and commercial properties were purchased around the Bay of Banderas in 2018, that's about 16% up in volume and over 23% in revenue year on year. Clearly, there's a significant interest in living, working and playing in paradise!

Terence Reilly of Mexlend expands on the trend by explaining: "The current market is very extremely strong in Puerto Vallarta. The majority of the sales are in new condo buildings and driven by the AirBnB phenomenon. This is reflected in every aspect of the new buildings, from construction to common amenities, and particularly interior design. A professional aesthetic and décor plan is critical, even in smaller units where opulent roof decks feature large infinity pools and bars for the guest's enjoyment. More lenders have moved into the market, and this is also helping to drive sales."

Reclaimed Woods – this trend is perfect for Vallarta because of the region's rich woodworking history.
