June 14 Events Bring Americans Together in Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Americans living in or visiting Puerto Vallarta this summer will have several opportunities to connect with fellow expatriates, participate in civic activities, and support voter engagement efforts through a series of events organized by the local chapter of Democrats Abroad Costa Banderas.

The organization has scheduled gatherings that combine community-building, entertainment, and political engagement as preparations continue for the upcoming U.S. election cycle.

Rise Up and Sing Out Watch Party June 14 @ 5:00 pm

One of the featured events is the Rise Up & Sing Out Watch Party, set for Sunday, June 14, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Nacho Daddy in Puerto Vallarta’s Zona Romántica. Hosted by the Committee for the First Amendment, the livestream event will celebrate the freedoms of speech, religion, press, assembly, and protest through music and community participation.

The 90-minute concert will feature appearances by notable performers and public figures, including Jane Fonda, Patti Smith, Bette Midler, Rufus Wainwright, Joy Reid, Wilson Cruz, and Broadway Inspirational Voices. Organizers describe the event as an evening dedicated to unity, civic participation, and appreciation for constitutional freedoms.

This is a No Kings and Indivisible Event. Admission is free, although seating is limited and advance reservations are encouraged. Please RSPV via THIS LINK to reserve your seats.

Pre-No Kings Event June 14 @ 11:00 am

Earlier that same day, the beautiful Casa Cupula in Amapas will provide the perfect spot for those in need a break from all the chaos and frustration generated by the POTUS.

This is a local group No Kings protest sponsored event to “celebrate” his birthday by taking a couple of whacks at piñatas and release your anger, sadness, and frustration in a healthy, non-violent way. Have FUN at the same time with other like-minded people who value democracy. Invite friends and those who would like to convert to the Bright Side.

The gathering will run from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm and will include activities, social opportunities, and food and beverages available for purchase. Organizers note that parking is limited and recommend using rideshare services or taxis. While there is no admission charge, donations will be accepted to help cover event expenses.
