‘So, You Think You Can RISE’ Grand Finale Feb 20 at Teatro Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Are you ready for a great night of entertainment? The Grand Finale of ‘So, You Think You Can RISE,’ PV’s First Annual Variety Talent Show, is set to take place at 7:30 pm on Sunday, February 20 at Teatro Vallarta.

So, You Think You Can RISE is a series of 6 Talent Shows, modeled after America’s Got Talent. The contest consisted of 5 Preliminary Rounds at The Palm Cabaret, with the winner of each Round advancing to the Grand Finale at Teatro Vallarta.

Round Five was held on Sunday, February 6 at The Palm Cabaret, where the final two contestants were chosen to advance to the Grand Finale!

Welcome Fusion 91, a contemporary dance group who incorporates other dance styles, mainly focused on urban, jazz, funk, house, and Kpop. Our second finalist from Round 5 was Enoch, a solo singer with piano accompaniment, originally from Guadalajara. He mesmerized the judges and audience with his velvety voice and wide vocal range.

Fusion 91 and Enoch will be joining the previous finalists selected in Rounds 1 through 4 to compete for $10,000 Pesos and a spot in one of the well-known entertainment theaters in Puerto Vallarta – The Palm Cabaret and Bar, Incanto Vallarta and a new face in PV Entertainment, Colectivo Hueco!

Previous Finalists include:

Eyes on Earth – This band writes and performs original music with nuances of rock, grunge, progressive rock and some funk and blues. They are a tight band!

Tay – A 19-year-old singer with an incredible range of songs – she’s small, but mighty!

The Ultimate Dance Company – a 5-person dance group led by Jassam Callleja, offering a variety of dance styles, including swing and house dance. This team puts on a well-choreographed performance!

Jo Reyes – She’s a 26-year-old originally from Huatulco, MX and following her dreams to be a singer and is on her way after singing Valerie to win Round 1.

The Grand Finale will be hosted by Roy Gomez – Puerto Vallarta’s Freddie Mercury!

We will have special performances by judges Kim Kuzma and Gouda Gabor (Richard Lucas – Lucas Talent Agency). We are thrilled to have these experienced entertainers on the judges panel along with Paco Ojeda – (experienced music educator and producer and host of ‘Coffee and Headlines’). These judges will narrow down the selection and the audience will vote for the final winner!

AND we have some special surprise performances in store for you!
