"Impressionist Landscapes" at Galeria Vallarta
email this pageprint this pageemail usPVNN

Puerto Vallarta - Galeria Vallarta will feature "Impressionist Landscapes" by one of Puerto Vallarta's favorite artists, Steven King, who uses vivid colors to paint beautiful landscapes of our local areas and outlying villages.

Many of Steven's artworks were painted in Puerto Vallarta, where he loves to capture the fabulous light and rich colors of the flowers, trees, sea, mountains and jungles around Banderas Bay on canvas. He loves to paint outdoors and spends much time in little villages such as Tomatlan, Sayulita, Lo de Marcos, and other areas along Nayarit's long, curving coastline.

Steven King has been producing top quality artwork in the US northwest for over twenty years. He is largely self taught, but studied with his father, who was a professional caricature artist, and he has been greatly inspired by the French impressionists. His artistic accomplishments include wood sculpture, lost wax bronze and ceramic sculptures, but he devotes most of his time using his impressionistic style to create fabulous oil paintings.

Many of Steven's paintings are on exhibit in a number of galleries in California, Oregon and Baja California, where he now has a home and studio apart from his Bend, Oregon home. King's paintings are part of the permanent art collection at Galeria Vallarta, where he'll personally present his new works at the Old Town Art Walk in Puerto Vallarta on February 23.
