Puerto Vallarta - At the ripe young age of only seventeen, Andrew Jones has already decided to make acting his professional career. He has been in three films to date in the United States in just over a year and has a large SAG (Screen Actors Guild) feature film project on the horizon to start the early part of 2006.

"I can't imagine doing anything better than being paid to go to wonderful places and play make believe." the young actor said when asked why he chose to pursue acting as a career.

Andrew has been coming to Puerto Vallarta since he was three years old. Just this past year his family completed building a home right on the beach in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle,

"It's really beautiful, we call it our own little slice of paradise, and it gets harder and harder to leave every time."

Seizing all possibilities to further familiarize himself with the industry, Andrew and his father flew from the U.S. specifically to attend the Puerto Vallarta Film Fest in it's second year, "It was an amazing experience, one that will definitely stick with me for the rest of my life. The people were so wonderful and so friendly, it was also amazing to meet Maria Conchetas Alanzo. I just loved everything about it."

Still in high school, Andrew is currently doing an independent curriculum to allow him leave for his movies and movie related projects. Prior to graduation Andrew will moving out to L.A. for two months to audition during pilot season in the spring. After graduating in May 2006 he will move out to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career full time, returning whenever possible to his home away from home in La Cruz.

The Banderas Bay is home to many Hollywood types and continues to be a favorite getaway from the hectic schedules that are so common in the Entertainment business. We wish Andrew Jones tha very best with his new film and his bright future.
