How to Get the Best Airfare and Cruise Deals
email this pageprint this pageemail usRandy Paige - CBS News

Royal Caribbean is offering a seven day cruise out of Los Angeles that takes you to Cabo, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta.
Imagine a trip to Cabo San Lucas for just $130 or a cruise out of L.A. for $350. Those are just a couple of the incredible travel deals out there right now. The catch is, you've got to know where to look to find them.

If you’re looking for fun in the Sun, there are some great round trip deals out of LAX. America West will take you to Las Vegas for $78 round trip. Leave your car behind; at this price it’s cheaper than driving. America West will also fly you to Tucson for $96 round trip, but there are quite a few black out dates for this fare.

How does the Mexican Riviera sound? You can fly round trip to Cabo on United Airlines for $124 round trip, and it’s only a three day advance ticket, but there are a limited number of these cheap seats available and you’ll have to connect through San Francisco, and there are some hefty taxes and fees to add on, but at this price it’s still a bargain.

And if you don’t want to fly to Cabo, why not cruise? Royal Caribbean is offering an eight day cruise round out of Los Angeles that will take you to Manzanillo, Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas for just $569, that includes all your meals for an inside cabin on the March 1st sailing date; that’s less than $75 a day.

According to our travel expert, "stay away from holidays, go non-peak when children are in school that’s when you're definitely going to get your best prices in cruises."

Royal Caribbean is also offering a seven day cruise out of Los Angeles that takes you to Cabo, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta where it's offering inside rooms for $549. Or you can catch a four-day cruise to San Diego, Catalina and Ensenada for $319. A three-day trip to Ensenada will cost $269 and that could make a nice Valentine's present.

Just take your Valentine out to dinner and inside the card include an invitation to the cruise. Remember, you’ll have to be flexible on your travel dates for most of these deals.
