Puerto Vallarta - The International Friendship Club (Club Internaciónal de la Amistad) and the Asociación Femenil Vallartense A/C have joined forces for the first time, bringing together the efforts of community-minded Mexicans, Americans and Canadians.

La Asociación Femenil was founded in 1976 to support women and children of Puerto Vallarta. Today, the Associación is working with children with cancer and their families.

The International Friendship Club was founded in 1987 providing a major source of funding for over 14 charities as well as additional funding for families and children in need.

The purpose of this effort is to support the charities supported by the IFC along with funding for the Hospicio La Esperanza (Hospice for Children with Cancer.) Through this collaboration, the two organizations will be working together to bring two fun-filled fund raising events to the Banderas Bay area:

March 5, 2006: Fiesta Charra to Benefit Children of Vallarta with Cancer

This fun-filled afternoon of Mexican culture will feature an exhibition of the best charros from Mexico. The women and men will be dressed in clothing representing every State of Mexico. Delicious Mexican food will be served along with beer and aguas frescas. There will also be piñatas to add to the fiesta.
• Time: 1-5 pm
