Puerto Vallarta - On February 26th from 2–8 pm the beautiful Le Bistro Restaurant on the Isla Rio Cuale will host the annual Puerto Vallarta White Ball, an important fund-raising event benefiting the Vallarta Against AIDS Organization.
The Vallarta Against AIDS Organization, which consists of doctors, psychologists, counselors and volunteers, provides AIDS educational programs as well as testing, free or low-cost medication, and other urgently needed resources and support for those who have HIV/AIDS - or SIDA - as it's called here in Mexico.
Here in Mexico, and around the world, the HIV/AIDS epidemic places unique challenges on health care delivery and financing, clinical research, and the public health infrastructure. As AIDS continues to rise, Vallarta Against AIDS continues to keep raising funds to provide these important services to the Banderas Bay community.
The annual Vallarta Against AIDS White Ball is just one of the ways that Vallarta Against AIDS raises funds to help, serve and support those living with HIV/AIDS, while raising awareness in our local communities about the global pandemic of HIV/AIDS.
This year's event will be held at Le Bistro Restaurant on February 26th from 2–8 pm. As in previous years, the fund raiser will include exquisite food prepared by Vallarta top restaurants, a silent auction, live music and much more. Tickets are available at Le Bistro at a cost of just $500 pesos per person for an all-you-can-eat menu and open bar.
