If you're into fabulous food, marvelous music and charitable causes, start making plans to be at the Marriott CasaMagna on October 17th for the third annual Puerto Vallarta Culinary Jam Session.
The brainchild of Chef Lois Fitch of Los Xitomates, who had the idea of joining forces in a "jam session" with his fellow chefs to benefit three of his favorite Puerto Vallarta charities: AGAPE, Arturo y los Hijos de Dios and Becas Vallarta, the Puerto Vallarta Culinary Jam fundraiser is now celebrating it's third year.
The first Culinary Jam Session took place in October of 2004 at the Marriott CasaMagna Hotel in Marina Vallarta, and it was such a success event organizers decided to make it an annual happening. Since then, the Puerto Vallarta Culinary Jam has grown and evolved, and each year it just keeps getting bigger and better.
Last year the Marriott once again hosted this popular charitable event, which was attended by close to 300 people who dined on a six-course meal created by six of the most well-know chefs in the city, enjoyed live entertainment performed by some of Vallarta's most popular musicians - and generated $54,000 pesos for each of the charities.
This year, the Culinary Jam Session continues to offer everyone the opportunity to help raise much-needed funds for these charitable causes, while enjoying live entertainment and a fabulous five-course meal prepared by the executive chef of the CasaMagna Marriott together with award-winning chefs from some of the city's most prestigious restaurants, including: Los Xitomates, Vista Grill, Café de Artistes, Kaiser Maximilian and La Palapa Restaurant.
All proceeds will be donated to Agape, a shelter for abused children, Arturo Los Hijos De Dios, an organization that provides aid for individuals and families in critical need, and Becas Vallarta, who assists young Vallartans with scholarships so they can continue their education.

Tickets cost just $600 pesos per person and include a special tasting menu with five-courses accompanied by wine, live entertainment and a cash bar.
