True Crime Tale of Mexican Injustice Makes Top Ten List monstersandcritics.com
London's Publishing News named Trail of Feathers, a nonfiction book by Robert Rivard' one of the top ten true crime titles in its recent list of noteworthy paperbacks, Lisa Kaufman of publisher Public Affairs announced October 27.
Trail of Feathers was released in paperback October 23 by Public Affairs, a division of Perseus Books.
When published last year, Trail of Feathers was named a Book Sense pick for 2005 and People Magazine named it one of the top five nonfiction reads of the year.
Tagged "a model of its genre" by Bookmarks Magazine, Trail of Feathers chronicles the true crime story of Rivard's search for justice in the murder of his Mexico City correspondent Philip True, who was killed in a Deliverance-like episode in western Mexico while hiking.
Rivard, editor of the San Antonio Express-News, tackles his own long journey that leads him to a "trail of feathers" that seeped from True's sleeping bag, to discover what happened - and why. |
