First Call for Becas Ball Peter Gray - PVNN
| The annual Becas Ball fundraiser is a benefit dinner, dance and raffle to raise scholarship funds for local students in need - and the closest thing Puerto Vallarta has to a formal "High Society" event. | It is time to mark your calendars for the 2007 Becas Ball - the closest thing Puerto Vallarta has to a formal "High Society" event. Although previously scheduled to take place on March 3rd at the Westin Hotel, the final date has now been set for March 9th, 2007.
Becas Vallarta, A.C. is a non-profit, tax-deductible Mexican foundation that was established in 1961 to raise funds for scholarships for students in grades 8 through university - and the annual Becas Ball is one of the major sources of income for the scholarship program.
Becas Vallarta A.C. relies greatly on the generosity of many sponsors and volunteers to help the Ball achieve success. Committeee members are already at work making sure that the 2007 event will continue the great tradition of making the Becas Ball the "social event" of the season.
For those who are newcomers, it should be pointed out that this is perhaps the only and best opportunity in Puerto Vallarta's high season to dress up in your finest evening wear. Tuxedos are more than welcome! It is amazing how people you have only gotten to know clad in their beach clothes become tranformed into glamorous creatures on this night.
Anyone interested in contributing or soliciting sponsorships should contact Mariel Fregoso at 221-0789 or Pat Bendix at 221-5730. Be sure to mark your calendars for March 9th, so you don't miss the biggest social event of the year, the 2007 Becas Ball, at the Westin Hotel in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. |
