Texas Legend Visits Punta de Mita

Following Cafe Luna's fantastic Grand Opening on November 18th, Art Mendoza purchased the restaurant from his partner, Deborah Buckholt, and immediately revamped the facility to create a more intimate venue where Punta de Mita audiences can enjoy live music performed by local and internationally famous musicians.
The first performer that will be playing on the restaurant's new stage is the legendary Claude "Butch" Morgan on February 3rd. A musician for over 40 years, Butch has written over 500 songs and has played on stages around the world with many famous musicians and groups, including Willie Nelson and U2.
Morgan is an exciting performer who uses his sense of humor and life experiences to touch people of all ages, and on February 3rd he will be performing some of his songs at Cafe Luna as the special guest of Art Mendoza, with whom he has played many times over the last 30 years.
Other famous performers that are slated to play at Cafe Luna in the future are: Daniella Romo, Los Lonely Boys and Rusty Wier. According to Mendoza, "Musicians who like to give their soul Love to give their all and ask for nothing in return - but all will be entertained, whether by the music or our excellent cuisine."
Since Claude "Butch" Morgan is a Texas Legend, and he'll be visiting Cafe Luna on a Saturday, the restaurant's legendary "Texas Night," come hungry and be ready to eat! Texas Night at Cafe Luna offers diners a choice of BBQ Brisket, Pork Ribs or Chicken served with potato salad, cole slaw, beans and cornbread for just $90 pesos.
