| Sudy with winner Arturo Reye | On Wednesday, January 17th, Banana Cantina welcomed Local Celebrities, Kevin Simpson of Peyote People and Sudy Coy of the Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza children's shelter, who helped raise $2736 pesos for the R.I.S.E. Orphanage in Puerto Vallarta.
Peyote People, located at 222 Juarez Street in downtown Puerto Vallarta, is a beautiful little shop where you can find some of the most incredible pieces of Huichol art in all of Jalisco.
Working with a select few artists from San Andres Cohamiata, Simpson assures the integrity and originality of each work of art - three of which were raffled off at this week's Local Celebrity Night at Banana Cantina.
Held every Wednesday from 7-10 pm, Banana Cantina's popular Local Celebrity Night offers residents and visitors the opportunity to enjoy a great meal, meet interesting people - and raise money for local charities while you're at it!
In previous events held over the last two weeks, Banana Cantina, with help from local celebrities Cassadra Shaw of Leona 226 Jewelry store, Wendy Grean, a producer of TV and feature films and Glenn MacDonald, who works in set decoration on hit TV shows, raised $7500 pesos for R.I.S.E.
On January 24th, Banana Cantina will host local celebrities from the Puerto Vallarta International Friendship Club, Sudy Coy a member of the organization's Fund Raising committee, and Roberta Valdes from the Club's Social Events committee.
On January 31st, Tim Longpré of Puerto Vallarta Rentals Premier Vacations (PVRPV.com) will return with more funny stories about his experience renting properties all around the bay. He might even sell you one of his (usually free) T-shirts to help raise funds for the Puerto Vallarta International Friendship Club!
Located on the corner of Pulpito and Amapas, in the Romantic Zone of Puerto Vallarta, Banana Cantina boasts a totally unique menu featuring creative Contemporary Mexican Cuisine and International dishes and an eclectic ambiance created by a colorful, yet comfortable, decor.
