Laura Gelezunas, the owner of Video Diva Productions in Puerto Vallarta, was contracted to shoot the band's first music video.

Last weekend, the band gathered at The Santa Barbara Theater to rehearse, get the lighting right, etc.

Backstage at the Santa Barbara Theater, band members get ready for the big shoot.

During the shoot, which took place over two consecutive days, the guys were exposed to their first make-up session.

Local music producer, Blaine Selkirk of Ancient Sun Studios, has nursed the band from its infancy and is ready to take them all the way.
Puerto Vallarta singing group, Los Bambinos, just finished shooting their first music video, Volar. This is the next step on the ladder to musical success. They have also changed their name to Metamorsa.

Four brothers and one cousin make up the band. Musicians include: founder, Carlos Morales Salinas, guitar, Lazzaro Morales Salinas, lead guitar, Immer Morales Salinas, electro-acoustic guitar, and Giorgio Morales Salinas, bass guitar. Luis Alberto Leana Salinas, front man and percussion. All of them sing.

The band rehearsed for over two months before they were ready to start shooting the video.

"It took a lot longer than I thought it would," says Carlos, "I had no idea how much time went into shooting a video, but it was something new and really exciting, plus a lot of fun."

Local music producer, Blaine Selkirk, Ancient Sun Studios, has nursed the band from its infancy and he is ready to take them up a level or two. He has played an integral part in shaping the band, taking them from street singers to professional entertainers.

"These guys had never performed on stage," says Blaine, "We worked long and hard to get their act together so the shows at the Santa Barbara Theater were a sold out success for the last two seasons running."

Laura Gelezunas, Video Diva Productions owner, was contacted to shoot the music production. "I was thrilled," says Laura, "My background is news and documentaries, so this gave me a chance to do something really different and be super creative."

The shoot took place over two consecutive days and the guys were exposed to their first make-up session, grueling light set-up, and repeating the song over and over and over again, while performing for the camera.

"It was great watching the guys become more and more relaxed while the tape was rolling," says Laura, "The first couple of takes were pretty rough, but by the 30th, they were playing it up really well."

Many in Puerto Vallarta have been keeping their eye on the band and have given nothing but love and encouragement. "I have been watching them develop since they first started in 2002 and I am so proud. They have accomplished so much," says Polly Vicars, long time fan and number one supporter, "The guys work so hard on their music while attending school and singing in the restaurants to earn money, and now they have shot their first video, it is so exciting to see them grow musically."

Look for the launch of Metamorsa along with their new CD with original songs and their music video, soon.

You can catch Metamorsa, formally Los Bambinos, on a regular basis playing and singing at many of the well-known restaurants in the Olas Altas area.
