Six distinct personalities make up RBD, one of the hottest teen pop groups to ever come out of México. They were part of the hugely popular Mexican telenovela 'Rebeldes,' about teens looking for a way to rebel in an elite school. Music is the key and they form a band at their school. The group became RBD, the teen-pop sensation that has produced eight albums in four years.

In a brief interview recently, RBD singer Christopher Uckermann said fans can expect to hear all the RBD hits, including songs from their English-language CD "Rebels" and at "least one reggaeton song."

"We like reggaeton because it is easy to dance to," he said in Spanish during a tour stop in Puerto Rico. "I like the music of Daddy Yankee, Luny Tunes, Wisin y Yandel. It is good music for a party."

"In the show we're going to play songs from all the CDs," Uckermann said. "The reggaeton song we're playing is called 'Lento,' and also 'Money, Money.' These are the songs we did with Luny Tunes."

Early tour reports indicate the shows last about 90 minutes. The multilevel stage includes three massive screens for stage close-ups. Friday night's performance is the group's second at the AT&T Center, where it made its San Antonio debut April 28, 2006.

No one can accuse RBD of standing still, despite big successes with top-selling CDs and packed worldwide tours.

Between promotional and concert tours in Latin America, the United States and Europe, the performers filmed their hit Mexican TV soap opera, "Rebeldes." When the soap came to an end last year, they took a brief pause but then resumed filming another TV series and began filming a big-screen flick

One of the group's highlights last year came when the sextet — Anahí, Christian, Maité, Alfonso, Christopher and Dulce María — drew more than 60,000 people to the Los Angeles Coliseum.

Uckermann said the group also has been in the studio working on its next albums. The group is finishing another new Spanish-language CD and will follow that with a new edition of its English-language "Rebels" CD with "Rebels: Deluxe Edition," an enhanced version that will include a couple of hip-hop tracks.

"We're focusing on what is hot right now," he said. "The hip-hop music is very strong all over the world."

Pandemonium driven by piercing screams, new hits, old hits, big lights and big sound is what RBD fans can expect at the teen pop group's concert Friday night at San Antonio's AT&T Center. Showtime is advertised as 8:30; there is no opening act.
