Make-a-Wish Golf Tourney in Guadalajara

Event sponsors have the pleasure of inviting the first 72 golfers - professional, amateur, men and women - to participate in the first annual Make-a-Wish Mexico Golf Tournament in Guadalajara, which will take place at the magnificent El Cielo Golf and Country Club on Friday December 7, 2007.
Participants:
Open to the first 72 players (18 teams of 4 golfers) who register for an extraordinary day of golfing.
Format:
Four-player a-go-go. Also called four-person best-ball, after all of the players tee off the captain of the team chooses the best shot, from which point all of the players continue. Play continues in this manner until the ball is sunk in the hole.
Categories:
Couples: Teams formed of 2 men and 2 women
Seniors: 4 Players over the age of 50, whose combined ages equal 220 years or less
Champions: 4 players under the age of 50 with a handicap up to 10
Tee Time:
The tournament begins at 9 am. If a player does not arrive on time, the remaining team members must begin, alternating the missing player's shots until he/she arrives.
Score Cards:
The team captain is responsible for recording each team member's hole-by-hole score. The tournament committee will be responsible for adding up the scores. The score cards must be signed by each player and delivered to the designated table immediately after the final hole is played.
Rate of Play:
The Course Marshall will give warnings to teams who play too slowly. If a team receives 3 slow play warnings, they will be given 2 penalty strokes.
Playoffs:
In case of a tie the criteria will be as follows: First, the lowest score on the back nine (10 through 18). Second, the lowest score on the front nine (1 through 9). If the tie persists, the committee will determine how to resolve the tie.
Tees:
Men: white tee markers
Women and children under 15: red tee markers
Champions: Blue tee markers
Trophies:
Trophies will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.
Awards:
Fabulous prizes will be given to the best O'Yes of the tournament.
Hole In One:
The first player to make a hole-in-one on holes 4, 10, 13 and 16.

Registration:
The day of the event starting at 7:30 am.

Los patrocinadores del Primer Torneo de Golf Make-A-Wish México en Guadalajara tienen el gusto de invitar a los primeros 72 jugadores (18 equipos de 4 jugadores) a participar en este prestigiado torneo, que se llevará a cabo en el magnífico Campo de Golf el Cielo Country Club, el día del Viernes 7 de diciembre de 2007.
Participantes:
Todos los golfistas profesionales, amateurs, hombres y mujeres están invitados a pasar un día extraordinario en este evento.
Formato de Juego:
El formato es a-go-go de 4 jugadores. Para los jugadores que no están familiarizados, significa que todos los jugadores pegan su tiro de salida y el capitán del equipo escoge el mejor tiro, desde ese punto todos los jugadores continúan. El mismo procedimiento se utiliza en cada uno de los siguientes tiros, hasta que la bola entre en el hoyo.
Categorias:
Habrá tres categorías:
Parejas: equipos formados por hombres y mujeres
Seniors: Las edades combinadas que sumen hasta 220 años y mayores de 50 años.
Campeones: con un handicap hasta 10 y menores de 50 años.
Horario:
El torneo iniciará a las 9:00 a.m. Si algún jugador no llegase a la hora indicada el equipo deberá iniciar, alternándose el tiro de la persona faltante hasta que esta arribe.
Tarjetas de Scores:
El capitán de cada equipo será responsable de anotar el score hoyo por hoyo del equipo. El comité del torneo será responsable de la suma de los scores. Las tarjetas de score deberán ser entregadas en la mesa designada para ello inmediatamente después de terminar el juego con las firmas de todos los integrantes del equipo.
Velocidad del Juego:
Es responsabilidad de cada jugador no retrasar el campo. El marshall responsable del campo dará avisos a los jugadores de equipos lentos. Si un equipo recibe 3 avisos será penalizado con 2 golpes de castigo.
Desempates:
El criterio de los desempates será el siguiente: primero el score más bajo de los últimos 9 hoyos (10 al 18). Segundo el score más bajo de los primeros 9 hoyos (1 al 9). En caso de prevalecer el empate, el comité decidirá la manera de resolverse.
Tees:
Los caballeros jugarán de las tees blancas y las damas y jóvenes menores de 15 años de las tees rojas. Los campeones serán los únicos que jueguen de las tees azules.
Trofeos:
Habrá trofeos de primero, segundo y tercer lugar.
Premios:
Grandes Premios a los mejores O'Yes del Torneo.
Hole In One:
El primer jugador que haga hoyo en uno en los hoyos 4, 10, 13 y 16.
Comité de Reglas:
Los miembros del comité de reglas son Oliver Flores y Joe Johnston.
Tarifa:
$1,500 pesos por jugador (incluye comida de premiación) pago el día del evento o pago anticipado.
Registro:
El día del evento a partir de las 7:30 a.m.
Formas de Pago:
Tarjeta de crédito, debito, cheque, efectivo y depósito bancario. Otorgamos recibos deducibles de impuestos.
