You have to hand it to Dusty Graham. He wanted something special to top off the silent auction items at the Toys For Tots Gala Dinner, which takes place at the Marriott Hotel on Sunday December 9th.
When he heard the world's number one woman golfer, Mexico's own Lorena Ochoa, was appearing at the El Tigre Golf Club, he high-tailed it out there to see if he could get the very special item he was looking for.
He managed to talk his way into a meeting with Lorena. He explained that he was seeking help for the Toys for Tots fund-raiser in Puerto Vallarta. Now it needs to be said that Lorena Ochoa is making her name not only as the best woman golfer in the world but as a remarkably generous supporter of Mexican charities, especially those dedicated to children.
Lorena was happy to oblige and Dusty was rewarded by receiving a golf cap and shirt signed by her. These two items will be up for bids at the Gala dinner. Golfing enthusiasts will be able to compete for the honor of taking home a very special trophy and helping the Toys For Tots cause in a big way.
