Casino Night at "Yaks"
February 24, 2008
4 pm and onwards throughout the evening.
For $20 USD, receive $200 pesos worth of gambling chips, 2 drinks and snacks with profits going to the IFC. Yaks is located at the Peninsula Plaza. If you haven't checked out this place out, it is time to do so! Got the Vegas itch? Let this evening fill the need and help raise money for local charities.
Shopping Trip to Tonala
February 29, 2008 Departure
2 nights, 3 days
Includes: round trip transportation, accommodations at Hotel Hacienda del Sol in Tonala, 2 breakfasts, bus tour of Guadalajara, lunch in downtown Guadalajara, dinner in Tlaquepaque, guided tour through Tlaquepaque of historical landmarks, craft factories including pottery and glass blowing, shopping spree at the largest Tiangus in Jalisco. Leave the driving to someone else, and shop til you drop!
Price: IFC Members: $2000 pesos per person double, $2250 pesos per person single.
Price: Non-IFC Members: $2250 pesos per person double, $2500 pesos per person single.
Want to show off your art?
The IFC is looking for someone to fill a big blank wall at the Clubhouse. Show off your talents and should your art sell, 10% will go to the IFC.
Mini-Flea Markets
February 27, 2008 and the last Wednesday of each month. 10 am at the IFC Clubhouse.
Clean out your closets and cupboards & make some extra pesos. Or, shop for someone else's treasures! Remember that one man's junk is another man's treasure. $50 pesos per table - sales monies are 100% yours to keep! You must contact the IFC to reserve a table.
Kinsey Sicks - America's Favorite Dragapella Beautyshop Quartet!
Laugh yourself silly as the Kinsey Sicks present their brand new election year show! World premiere on March 3, 2008 at Club Ma๑ana, 9 pm. This talented group has kindly offered to donate a portion of ticket sales to the IFC. They have been featured on "20-20", the "CBS Early Morning Show" and recently in the New York Times. Space is limited and reservations are a must.
Impromptu Theater Group
Every Thursday evening for a $50 peso donation, come to the IFC at 7:30 pm and be prepared to be totally entertained as this small theater group does impromptu comedy theater. A fun time is promised to all!
North Bay and South Bay Home Tours
The Home Tours continue until mid-April so there is still time to visit some of the loveliest homes in both Puerto Vallarta South and Punta de Mita to the north. North tours run every Tuesday, departing from Marina Vallarta, La Paz Restaurant, 9 am check in. South Tours run every Wednesday and Thursday, departing from La Hacienda Restaurant, 9 am check in.
