On Friday, March 14th, Cuates y Cuetes presents a free Latin Jazz festival featuring music from across the Americas. The festival will be held on the beach at Los Muertos pier from 5 to 10:30 pm.
Just added to the program is special guest Tom Coster, keyboardist and composer from the USA. He has performed with or composed for Gabor Szabo, Carlos Santana, Billy Cobham, Third Eye Blind, Coryell/Coster/Smith, The Loading Zone, Claudio Baglioni, Stu Hamm, Boz Scaggs, Zucchero and Bobby Holiday, Joe Satriani, Frank Gambale, and Vital Information.
Coster also produced several solo contemporary jazz and fusion jazz recordings. Some of Coster's best known compositions include "Europa," "Flor D'Luna," and "Dance, Sister, Dance" performed by Santana, and "The Perfect Date" performed by Vital Information. He is currently performing with Bill Cobham.
The final line-up for the program, which runs from 5 pm to 10:30 pm, has now been set:

• Traditional Ceremony Asking Permission of Mother Earth (at dusk)
• Stefan Nadon (Canada) - Flamenco
• Celebrators (USA) - R & B and Paco Barajas (Mexico) - Afroantillana
• Stefan Nadon, Paul Gagnon & Daniel Lopez (Canada/Mexico) - Flamenco, Jazz
• Jesus Santana (Mexico) - Latin Rock
• Martin Montenegro (Mexico) - Latin Jazz
• Tom Coster (USA) - Jazz
There is no cover charge for the festival. Tables and chairs will be set up on the beach, where festival-goers can enjoy a full bar and food service provided by Cuates y Cuetes. |
