More Mexicans to Spend Vacations in Cuba Prensa Latina go to original
Havana - Mexican tour-operators expect 100,000 vacationers will travel to Cuba this year, according to a communiqué released by the office of the Cuban Tourism Ministry in Mexico.
The document, posted at the office´s website explains that the figure will stand for a 9-percent growth if compared to 2007.
In order to reach the goal the branch office of the Cuban Tourism Ministry in Mexico has designed different promotion actions, with the participation of tourist companies, hotel chains and travel agencies based in Mexican territory.
For the first time, Cuban promotional spots will be run in Mexican TV channels in peak hours to announce the attractions of the Cuban tourist product, natural beauty and the hospitality of the population.
The communiqué also announces the coordination of several commercial encounters to be held with the participation of Mexican tour-operators.
Along with the renowned Varadero tourist center and the old section of Havana, other Cuban sites will also be promoted, such as the keys known as Cayo Santa Maria, Cayo Coco and Cayo Largo. |
