Entertainment | June 2008  Discovery Launches Planet Green International Herald Tribune Discovery is converting its Discovery Home Channel into an eco-lifestyle channel dubbed Planet Green. The NY Times reports that Planet Green will be one of the media’s biggest efforts to get into the green movement. A Planet Green channel executive adds that, “being green is essentially being responsible.” The channel will debut in more than 50 million homes - meaning that people are interested in learning and taking the time to be responsible.
