A friend, departing for England for a period of time, and I loved our Pacific Rim dinner and going away conversation on a rainy Puerto Vallarta evening at Daiquiri Dick's on Los Muertos Beach.
Especially fabulous were the Steamed Pork and Shrimp Dumplings as an appetizer. Other starters ranged from a Noodle Salad to Chicken Soup to Grilled Chicken Satay.
My friend had a tasty Curried Lamb Burger served with grilled veggies, arugula and mint yogurt sauce. I had a Grilled Yellow Tuna with spicy garlicky basil sauce over rice. After tasting the scrumptious Curried Lamb Burger, I was spoiled concerning my entree.
We loved the Jack Daniels Chocolate Souffle Tort with pecans and chocolate sauce.
The restaurant is closed during September, but some of these menu items undoubtedly will return.
Hnoi Latthitham, who I often see at the sister The Deli, V. Carranza 371, and Carlos, our waiter, treated us most graciously.
