Gaggle of stars sign up for intense thriller.
A motley crew including the likes of Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Ray Winstone, 50 Cent, Ray Liotta and Sam Riley have all signed up for 13, a "psychological thriller" remake of the Sundance-winning French flick 13 Tzameti.
Riley plays the title role of a young man who stumbles into an underground competition where rich people gamble on people's lives in a Russian-roulette-style competition.
Rourke will play a Mexican convict and Winstone a mental patient both sold into the competition. 50 cent is a heavy charged with escorting "players" to the game, while Statham's a wealthy Brit who bets on the competition and Liotta the cop tracking the illegal game.
The original's director Gela Babluani will write and direct the remake. |
