Stop by the Cathy Von Rohr Studio Gallery on the south side of Puerto Vallarta on January 16th at 7 pm for the opening cocktail reception of a very special art exhibit, Chance: Cuestiones del Azar.
 Chance
1 a: something that happens unpredictably without discernible human intention or observable cause b: the assumed impersonal purposeless determiner of unaccountable happenings.
Curated by Pilar Perez and featuring the works of artists Javier M. Rodríguez, Davis Birks, Ireri Topete, Yesika Félix, Sergio Martínez, Fernando Sánchez and Hung Liu, the exhibition will focus on these six artists, whose work is inspired by the idea of chance or randomness.
Collectively these six individual artists will transform the gallery into a provocative site, referencing the Dadaist experience, where the relationship between chance and art can be examined and unpredictability in creation explored.
This special exhibition will be on display through January 31, 2009 at:
