Puerto Vallarta Wine Fest 2009

The 3rd annual Puerto Vallarta Wine Festival, scheduled to take place at various locations throughout the city between February 22nd-28th, fuses wine and culture through wine tastings, art exhibitions, photo competitions, concerts and more!
The Puerto Vallarta Wine Festival is not only a tourist attraction, but above all, a reward for our visitors' loyalty. That is why it is organized during high season when there are lots of tourists in town, so they can find not only fun in the sun and on the beaches, but also superior quality events and entertainment.
The Puerto Vallarta Wine Fest is a party for everyone; everybody is part of it and everybody is an organizer. It’s a party for the village, spreading the Arts & Wine culture to all of the social classes of the city.
Based on the success of last year's event, organizers have chosen the slogan "La Cultura está de Fiesta" for the 2009 Puerto Vallarta Wine Festival. In addition to the wine-related events, such as training and qualification centers for professional and amateurs, there are plenty of cultural events planned: a poetry contest, a photography contest, a plastic arts exhibition by the Centro 10 group, a youth wine-themed art exhibition, concerts, country fairs and lots of parties.

February 22nd
6 pm to midnight: Fiesta at Parque Lázaro Cárdenas
• Music by the Municipal Band
• Wine by the glass $10-$20 pesos
• Bocadillos available for purchase
• Fiesta & Dance
February 23rd
7:30 pm: Event Inauguration at City Hall
Puerto Vallarta Mayor Javier Bravo will be on site for the poetry competition awards and a performance by the local Art and Culture Group.
February 23rd, 24th, 25th
11 am: Wine Conferences at La Leche Almacen
These informative sessions will focus on wine presented by professional wine makers and sommeliers.
February 26th
8 pm: Teatro Urbano Itinerante at Plaza Pitillal & Plaza de Ixtapa
9 pm: Fiesta at Parque Lázaro Cárdenas
Verbena Popular - Music
• Wine by the glass $10-$20 pesos
• Bocadillos available for purchase
• Fiesta & Dance
February 27th
8:30 pm: Mundo Joven
Electronic music night with DJs Luis Flores, Carlos Rodríguez & Gybo Calderón at the Plaza de Armas (Main Plaza) in downtown Puerto Vallarta
