School Pre-Registration Begins

The Public Education Secretary of Puerto Vallarta invites everyone with kids old enough for school to take part in the annual pre-registration program.
The Public Education Secretary of Puerto Vallarta is inviting everyone with kids old enough for school to the annual pre-registration for the education program. Pre-registration will take place from February 3 - 16, 2009. This invitation is for children starting kindergarden, elementary and secondary Schools throughout the city.

Educational Services Regional Delegation Director, Carlos Murguía Lopez, convened parents in the city to attend this invitation as it will help to ensure kids have a place to study when the time comes. This will allow parents to plan ahead and preview the needs of this department for the next school year.

Last week pre-registration forms were distributed to all schools in the district to start collecting the necessary information. For the first time all the school Principals will be responsible for uploading the collected information onto the Education Secretary website. This will provide for greater speed than in previous years.

Parents are to provide five selections for schools desired. Parents will also need to provide information that they reside near the schools to avoid sending kids to study to far from home or in a district not theirs.

"School Districts will prioritize pre-registrations in order to have siblings educated in the same school," said Carlos Murguia.
