Puerto Vallarta's 13th Film Festival, March 24-28

Puerto Vallarta's 13th Film Festival is happening now thru March 28 2009, with free showings and performances at Los Arcos Amphitheater, at the University and at the Cuale Cultural Center.
As if meeting with the fate of the number 13, the Puerto Vallarta Film Festival is stumbling this year, almost falling into non-existence.
No commercial movie theater is willing to show the films and there is little commercial or governmental backing so the Festival is taking their show on the road, literally, to the streets of Vallarta, with free showings and performances at Los Arcos Amphitheater, at the University and at the Cuale Cultural Center.
The parent Film Festival is in Guadalajara from March 19 to 27. Go to GuadalajaraCinemaFest09.com to see what is possible. And then go to the streets of Puerto Vallarta to see the reality.
