Casa Isabel Halloween Costume Party Rick Hepting - PVScene.com October 23, 2009
| A map and more information about this party may be found on the Casa Isabel website, CasaIsabelPV.com. | | Halloween in Puerto Vallarta has, along with the traditional adult exhibitionist attributes and the joven candy quest, the distinction of being the official opening of tourist season.
The weather has turned, the snow birds return and the tours are gathering in full force, or at least as full of a force as can be hoped for within this year's series of economic, pandemic and cultural setbacks. Fortunately most of us are still alive and kicking, which, coincidentally is the perfect backdrop for a Halloween party.
So it's party time. This night is the season premiere, the grand opening of Vallarta's High Season. What better way to party than in costume with other expats and early birds at a beautiful venue overlooking the whole of the Banderas Bay?
Casa Isabel is sponsoring, along with Teatro Limσn Restaurant, Xocodiva Chocolates and the VallartaScene.com forum, a Halloween party to knock your socks off, assuming they are part of your costume.
This is a no-cover event beginning at 7:30 pm on Saturday, October 31, Halloween. Of course there will be drink and food (including a special Halloween menu) available for purchase, and, as always, the view virtually unmatched in Vallarta, but the main attraction at this party will be the people, the people in costume.
The prizes in this year's Casa Isabel Halloween Costume Party include a five-night stay at Casa Isabel, (5) 2-night stays, (10) one-night stays, (2) 3-course chef's menu dinners at Teatro Limon and a gift basket of delicious hand-made chocolates from Xocodiva. This is Halloween Hedonist Heaven.
The categories for the costume contest are:
Best Overall Sexiest "Female" Sexiest "Male" Scariest Most Complicated Costume Best Mask Best Hat Best Shoes Most Religious/Sacrilegious Most/Least PC Most "Mexican-ish" Most "Gringo-ish" Worst...
Casa Isabel is at 483 Del Bosque, in Colonia Amapas overlooking Old Town. Taxi is the best mode of transport (a $30-$40 peso ride to/from downtown) as parking is very limited. The party begins at 7:30 pm and the costume judging will follow shortly. A map and more information about this party may be found on the Casa Isabel website, CasaIsabelPV.com. |
