The recent rainstorms have had many of us dealing with water issues, broken windows, uprooted trees and other problems. I left behind the one-hundredth umbrella, this time at Coco's. Cocktails at the International Friendship Club (IFC), with dinner following at restaurants are popular. Cocktails are at 5 pm, with dinner about 6:30 pm. Owner Julie Guerrero of No Way Jose is excited about the attention toward the restaurant. It is a fairly large two-level eating establishment in an old building, with Mexican colors and decorations. As a fairly new restaurant, diners say the food is excellent one time, then not so good the next time. The restaurant's kitchen will become consistent undoubtedly with a little more time. Our food was excellent the other night.
Wonderful sweet rolls and scones are available in the mornings at Artisan Bakery, 875 Morelos. Freshly baked bread also is available.
