On April 10, 2010, Puerto Vallarta will celebrate the First Mi Casa es Tu Casa Festival. This event is being held to recognize and thank PV's visitors and foreign community for their support of our local charitable organizations and the work they do to improve the lives of the less fortunate.
At 6 pm in the Municipal Plaza, Puerto Vallarta Mayor Salvador Gonzales Resendiz will present awards to some of the outstanding foreign residents whose altruist work and service have made such a difference in the lives of so many in our community.
Each Banderas Bay area charity or non-profit organization is responsible for nominating the person they feel deserves recognition for going "above and beyond" in their efforts for your cause, so please send your suggestions to editorvip.jhovanee(at)gmail.com TODAY!
At 7 pm the fun moves to Los Arcos on the Malecón, followed by cocktails and botanas in the Plaza Principal from 8 to 10 pm. Organized by Sra. Nelly Barquet with support from Municipal authorities, CANIRAC and local businesses, this is the first in what we hope will become a yearly event.
CANIRAC will be providing the botanas, but we are asking for the community's support to make the Mi Casa es Tu Casa Festival as successful as possible. 5 de abril - Este próximo 10 de abril vamos a celebrar el primer festival de mi casa es tu casa, para agradecer a la comunidad extranjera todo el apoyo que recibimos de su parte en las asociaciones de beneficencia, gracias a su trabajo y entrega nuestro querido Puerto Vallarta es una ciudad mas prospera y con mejores condiciones de vida para quien menos tienen.
Se les entregara un reconocimiento Oficial aquellas personas que se han destacado por su labor altruista de nuestro presidente Municipal Salvador Gonzales Resendiz en un acto protocolario a las 6 pm en el patio central de Ayuntamiento.
Las diferentes organizaciones serán las encargadas de elegir a la persona que mas ha contribuido dentro de su propia organización. Si alguien desea proponer alguna persona para recibir el reconocimiento favor de hacerlo HOY MISMO.
Esto es solo el inicio, de un día que ya será oficial dentro de nuestro calendario. Les pido su apoyo para que nuestro primer festival salga lo mejor posible.
Tendremos un cóctel de 8 a 10 pm en el patio y estamos pidiendo apoyo en especie para el evento, la canirac pondrá los bocadillos.
