Their 2007 tour took them through France and Belgium, where they participated in the European Youth Festival in Neerpelt, bringing them the accolade of the first prize "Cum Laude."
Outstanding artists and soloists along with guests conductors have participated with the orchestra including Gloria Feidman (first clarinet in the Orchestra of Israel), Angela Yeung (Conductor of the San Diego Symphony Orchestra), Alondra de la Parra (Conductor, Orchestra of the Americas), Chistopher Wilshere of Canada (violin), Antonio Villanueva (trumpet), Martin Andre of England (Conductor, Momentum Perpetum in Portugal).
Currently under the baton of its chief conductor Miguel Almaguer, the orchestra reaffirms its commitments and renovates itself with innovative and propositional programs as well as more frequent visits to alternative spaces and a fresh approach to symphonic music.
Among their goals is the preservation of Mexico's musical heritage along with innovative programs, musical file records and as well, further public promotion via various concerts and publications. A constant priority is music education.
