Puerto Vallarta Garden Club Forming

July 02, 2010

.
The Puerto Vallarta Garden Club, a new club forming for plant lovers, beauty lovers, civic lovers and Vallarta lovers, will hold it's inaugural meeting at Coco's Kitchen, Púlpito #122, on Tuesday July 20, 2010 at 3 pm. Join in, get involved in beautification on the local level.

Wikipedia defines "Beautification" as: the process of making visual improvements to a person, place or thing. With regard to a town, city or an urban area, this most often involves planting trees, shrubbery, and other greenery, but frequently also includes adding decorative or historic-style street lights and replacing broken pavement, often with stone or other natural materials. Beautification projects are often undertaken by city councils to refurbish their downtown areas, in order to boost tourism or other commerce.

We are seeking volunteers for planting and fund raising for this great cause and a committee to run the annual Bouganvillia Festival to be held in May, the cultural month of Puerto Vallarta. Get on at the ground floor of this long-term event.

Don't miss the inaugural meeting of the Puerto Vallarta Garden Club at 3 pm on Tuesday, July 20 at Coco's Kitchen, Púlpito #122 near Olas Altas on the south side of Vallarta. A complimentary beverage will be offered.

Bring your ideas. Plant a Bouganvillia, which will delight hundreds of people each year. Discuss ideas for returning Parque Lázaro Cárdenas to past beauty, with the backing of our mayor.

Your help is needed in making Puerto Vallarta the Garden City of Mexico. Please join us.
