Tlacotalpan – Four movie productions will help Veracruz to reactivate its cultural, educational and social traditions, despite the fact it is facing difficult circumstances, says Gov. Fidel Herrera Beltrán. The movies will be shot in different locations in Veracruz, and will generate a large economic spillover.

Filmmaker José Bojórquez announced that Veracruz will be the scenario for one new movie. “The movie is called ‘Luna Escondida’ (Hidden Moon), and it’s an allegory about the soul and being Latin American,” Herrera said.

He also announced that Mel Gibson will return to Veracruz in late October to shoot the last scenes of his movie, “How I Spent My Summer Vacation.”

The Veracruzan movie maker Miguel Ángel Llera will shoot “Cuando el sol besa al mar” (When the sun kisses the sea) also in various Veracruz locations.
