The opportunity for sun, beautiful accommodation, and authentic peaceful experience can be had at El Panorama de la Peņita. For more information, visit ElPanoramaHotel.com.
There are many of us who want a Mexican vacation outside of the mega resorts. For those few precious days away from the everyday working grind, we want some sun, beautiful accommodation, an authentic peaceful experience.

There is a seaside fishing village on the Pacific coast of Mexico, with cobble stoned streets lined with palm trees. The town is snuggled up between the warm waters of the Pacific and the lush tropical foliage of the Sierra Madre Mountains. It is a place where you can wake up to the sounds of roosters crowing, and the call of Mexican women selling fresh tamales out of the back of their trucks.

La Peņita de Jaltemba is described as a charming place of tranquility, which reminds those of us, who are old enough to remember, of the press descriptions of the Puerto Vallarta of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton.

The north coastline of Riviera Nayarit is a romantic place that is unspoilt by the excesses that come from multi-national all inclusive hotels and franchised party restaurants. It is the authentic Mexico that can come only from exploration and adventure. La Peņita de Jaltemba is just one of the many jewels you will find on the Riviera Nayarit, less than an hour north of Puerto Vallarta.

For six months of the year, it is mainly a Mexican town, the majority of its snow bird population having flown back to Canada and United States. But starting in November, vacationers begin to arrive to enjoy the almost perfect weather along with genuine Mexican hospitality.

It is here where the bold traveler who ventures north from the party town of Puerto Vallarta comes to explore the weekly street market on Thursday. It is here where their dollar gets its real value and here where vacationers can find remarkable deals on accommodations in the form of small boutique hotels or luxurious villas like the El Panorama de la Peņita operated by Canadians' Tom Hopper and Paul Leger.

El Panorama de la Peņita offers a tranquil and comfortable get-away retreat overlooking La Peņita, the majestic Sierra Madre Mountains and the deep-blue waters of the Pacific. Their name truly does say it all, this hill-top estate is beautifully situated giving a breathtaking 360 degree view of the surrounding area.

Their three comfortable guest suites all feature private balconies with sweeping views, private baths and luxurious, comfortable beds. The sun drenched roof-top patio and pool will quickly become a special place to enjoy a book, relax in the sun, or enjoy a relaxing swim all while enjoying the panoramic vistas. Here you'll find two shaded cupolas, an outdoor barbecue, kitchen, bar area, and washrooms all located here for your enjoyment.

But it is not just the elegance and location that makes this place special it is also the warmth and hospitality of the two owners, Tom and Paul, who are able to make you feel pampered while you decide to be either "tranquil or an adventurer."

"There is so much to do and enjoy in our area," says Paul. "You can hike in the jungle looking for ancient petro glyphs, walk along secluded beaches, take a horseback ride, deep sea fishing, the list is very long."

"Or," Tom adds, "you can just sit back by the rooftop pool, read a book and enjoy the breathtaking views."

La Peņita is also known for its large tropical fruit and world-famous coffee which is grown in the Sierra Madres Mountains directly behind their home. The views of the mountains, valleys and of course Pacific Coastline is stunning.

Tom and Paul are here to fulfill your every whim, from exploring the villages and artisan shops, a picnic lunch on a secluded beach, or bird watching in the nearby estuaries or island, let them provide you with the rest and relaxation you deserve. Rates are unbelievably low for the quality of accommodation; from $69 to $99 USD a night, double occupancy, and include a large breakfast on their sunny terrace.

The opportunity for sun, beautiful accommodation, and authentic peaceful experience can be had without the razzle matazel of the resort cities.

Come explore their online photo galleries, rates and amenities on their newly launched website at ElPanoramaHotel.com or drop by for a personal tour to discover their hidden-gem located on Mexico's Pacific Riviera.
