Wow! What a great turn out for Charity Bingo for Pasitos de Luz at Nacho Daddy this week. 107 people! There were a lot of new faces and many of these first-timers won too! It is so wonderful to see so many come out to support this very worthy charity and enjoy themselves at the same time.
Juan Carlos was calling out the numbers fast and furious throughout the night and kept everything moving along at a quick pace, keeping everyone on their toes and entertained.
The 50/50 winner this week was none other than our own Nina Goodhope of La Bodega de Nina. A well deserved winner if there ever was one. Thanks, Nina, for all your hard work and continued support of Charity Bingo for Pasitos de Luz. Now, about those cookies...
The evening's raffle prizes were donated by Isabel Manore for a one night stay for two at her own Casa Isabel located up in Alta Vista. One was won by Hank Muffet & Conrad Kostelecky, formerly of the Old Town Chili's fame, and now doing their own special lunch thing at Cafe Bohemia from 11:00 am till 3:00 pm, Monday through Saturday. You gotta love their French Dips... and yes, they do have many other wonderful tasty treats on their menu.
The other was won by volunteer Tracy Lee Gehue. Just so you know, when you purchase a raffle ticket at Charity Bingo for Pasitos de Luz you are actually eligible for two drawings. The first is on the night you purchase the ticket and the second being the wrap party to be held at the end of our Bingo Season. Even the winning tickets go back into the draw that final evening. Double your pleasure and buy your raffle tickets today!
A special thank you goes out to Inez Clay, 92 years young, from Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada, who brought down some handcrafted dolls for the children of Pasitos de Luz. She has personally hand knitted over 700 dolls that she has donated to the children in Haiti and to the Sisters of Spirits, a native group and various other worthy charities. She tells me that she is addicted to knitting these dolls because they keep her out of trouble and she is so pleased that the children like them so much.
