The Latest Collection of Claudia F. Bremer on Auction PVNN December 06, 2010
The latest collection of the award-winning, multi-disciplinary artist Claudia F. Bremer will be auctioned at Bähe gallery on Saturday December 18 in the heart of Puerto Vallarta. Bremer´s newest collection includes an array of printmaking in various styles: intaglio, mono type and lithography.
Bremer will return to her adopted home, Puerto Vallarta, from El Paso, Texas for the one night show, where she currently resides as she pursues her Master Degree at the University of Texas. She is a graduate of ETUP, having obtained her undergraduate degree in Fine Arts in 2006. She was awarded the Thurston Memorial Award for painting, as well as a scholarship to attend the University of Yale summer school for music and art.
Bremer´s decision to take an educational sabbatical to Texas was a difficult one. "Vallarta is full of inspiration, around every corner there is something to observe and a potential subject for my work. Yes, there are wonderful sunsets, but for me, what interests most are the characters that make up the fabric of Vallarta," she explains.
While she is eager to return to Puerto Vallarta when she graduates in 2012, she is happy to have undertaken the challenge of postgraduate studies as she was recently awarded The Incubator Art Project 2010 - a prestigious commission given by the city of El Paso.
Bremer´s previous exhibitions in Puerto Vallarta include Auto Retrato Sin El Pintor (2009), La Mujer y Sus Pinceles (200)9, Primer Festival Lebije 2008 - as well as two solo shows. Bremer took part in Sotheby’s International Exhibition 2008, which was hosted in Puerto Vallarta.
Her recent exhibition, Uno Por Uno, Pintura A Peso, at the Glass Gallery in El Paso immediately sold out to private collectors. Claudia Bremer has been featured at the renowned exhibition space Las Artistas in El Paso, since 2003. Her first exhibition in her hometown of Chihuahua in 1988, Concurso Por La Distribuidora was positively received by art enthusiasts and critics.
