Would you believe it's already time to begin thinking about the Christmas Season? How time flies in Paradise.
One of the most heartwarming traditions we have in Puerto Vallarta is the annual Toys for Tots program for disadvantaged kids throughout the Bahía. There will be two major fundraising events in mid-December, a Golf Outing on Saturday, December 11 at 11:00 am at the Vista Vallarta Weiskopf course. This will be followed about a week later on Sunday, December 19 with a gala Dinner/Dance at the Marriott CasaMagna Resort beginning at 6:30 pm.
Tickets to these much anticipated events are now on sale and attractively priced at $1200 pesos ($100 USD) for golf and $800 pesos ($65 USD) for the dinner/dance. They can be purchased at the Vista Vallarta or Marina golf pro shops, from the Marriott concierge, or from any Navy League member. All proceeds from Toys for Tots fundraisers are used to buy thousands of toys at a steep discount from a major toy wholesaler. Our generous sponsors underwrite all expenses of the program, such as the use of the Vista Vallarta course and the dinner and dance band.
Toys for Tots is run entirely through volunteer effort; there are no employees. Major sponsors include the Marriott CasaMagna Resort, Vista Vallarta Golf Club, Coldwell Banker/La Costa Real Estate, Toyota, TaylorMade/adidas Golf Company, and many others.
 If you'd like to get involved in toy distribution in early January, or would like to join the Navy League please call Bill Clark, the current President at the number listed above. You'll not only be contributing to the joy of some of our less advantaged kids, but their self esteem as well. Plus you'll have a grand time exploring the far reaches of our beautiful mountains, beaches and farmland where these kids reside.
