Casa Cupula, one of the world's finest boutique hotels for the Gay and Lesbian community, has opened its new restaurant 'Taste' to the public. Under the direction of Erick Martinez, Taste offers "Creative Food in Good Taste" in a secluded romantic setting.

The dinner menu literally provides for a Taste of different cuisines including South American, Mexican, US and Asian. Almost all plates are available in "Taste" (or half portions) as well as full entrees, so diners can sample their way around the world.

In order to create an intimate ambiance, Casa Cupula's dining room was completely transformed: its cathedral ceiling now features dozens of custom lanterns providing eclectic yet subdued lighting in an intimate setting, as well as terrace seating under the stars.

A beautiful granite bar provides a large gathering space for drinks after the beach or before dinner. The terrace seating offers daytime jungle, ocean and pool views. It's romantic and sophisticated, but also an ideal space to celebrate a special occasion with close friends. Like the décor, prices are graciously restrained with entrees priced under $250 pesos.

"Our versatile Executive Chef Jose Luis Ponce has created a selection of creative menu offerings that go beyond the usual," stated Martinez. "Our Asian selection includes Orange Peel Chicken, Dim Sum Dumplings and Indian Samosas, which have become favorites. Our American section includes delicious Lollipop Lamb Chops with mint jelly, a kind of retro dish, along with freshly made crab cakes. With unique Mexican selections and South American offerings including real Peruvian-style ceviche, you can Taste your way around the world in one meal."

A signature Cupulini Martini teases the palate with chocolate and chipotle flavorings, and a full bar offers a variety of mixed drinks. An expanded wine list adds to the dining experience.

Taste is open for dinner from 6-11 pm Monday to Saturday. A gourmet breakfast menu is available from 9 am to 12 pm, and lunch menu are available from 12-5 pm. And, for the first time, Casa Cupula's legendary Sunday Mimosa Brunch is open to the public from 10 am to 2 pm.
