The Secret in Their Eyes, the seventh in a 13-part film series sponsored by Democrats Abroad, is showing on Sunday, March 6th at 7 pm at The Boutique Theatre, located at Manuel Diequez #321, near the corner of Constitution, on the south side of Puerto Vallarta.

This Argentine film won the Best Foreign Language Picture Oscar for 2009. Juan Jose Campanella, the writer-director, creates a complete, engrossing, lovingly crafted film. His work is filled with his stories.

The Secret in Their Eyes is a rebuke to formula screenplays. We grow to know the characters, and the story reveals their complexities and needs. The film is set in the 1970s, when the military state was in power.
