Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - The Third Annual Bucerias Classic Regatta will take place on the beaches of Bucerías on April 30 and May 1. This competition includes local sailors trying to break into the sport of kite boarding and windsurfing.
During the months between February and May, conditions are ideal for practicing these sports in Bucerías. Year after year Casa Blanca in Bucerias, has been the site of the race, thus encouraging a new generation of sailors.
Following the success of the last two editions of this event, this year there is a competition of Stand Up Paddle (SUP - table row) as a bid for more competitors.
Pacific Paddle Board, together with the organizing committee of the Bucerías Classic, has made an effort this year to include SUP. There will be 3 SUP Competitions: the relay race and 5 km, both circuits of the beaches of Bucerias, and the 10-kilometer race will start from Destiladeras Beach and will take place starting at 9:00 am, while the kite and windsurf begins at 1:00 pm.
Following the first day of competition, there will be food and drinks available to all participants. The awards party will be held on Sunday, May 1st at 5:00 pm.
