The tournament is to be divided into two 18 hole rounds; the first will take place on Friday on Vista Vallarta's Jack Nicklaus course, and the second will be on Saturday on the Tom Weiskopf course.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - From October 7th-9th, for the ninth year in a row, Puerto Vallarta will host the kickoff event for Mexico's annual Telethon for disabled children - a Golf Tournament that will draw celebrities and media executives to the Hotel Westin Regina for a welcome cocktail and to the Vista Vallarta Golf Course for the tournament.

The goal of the tournament is to raise funds and benefit the needs of the Telethon’s Juvenile Rehabilitation Center patients. The event, hosted by Hotel Westin Regina, will take place at the Marina’s Vista Vallarta Golf Club, and is sponsored by Puerto Vallarta’s Tourism Board and Caras Sport magazine.

The tournament is to be divided into two 18 hole rounds; the first will take place on Friday on the Nicklaus course, whilst the second will be on Saturday on the Weiskopf course. A total of 160 players are signed up to participate in this year’s tournament, some from Mexico City, Aguascalientes, Oaxaca, Chihuahua, Irapuato, Cancun, Guadalajara, to name a few.

Winners of the golf tournament will receive 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies. Golfers who make a hole-in-one will be rewarded with a brand new car. Numerous golf-related items, electronics and trips will be raffled off during the cocktail party and dinner ceremony.

Event organizers are still awaiting hosting confirmation from Alan Tacher and Galilea Montijo. Mexican singer, Maria José is scheduled to perform during the awards ceremony, while Jorge Falcón will entertain the crowd at commencement. Several other artists, including Laura Flores, Diana Golden, Gaby Goldsmith, Chabelo, Sergio Corona, Tony Flores and Luz Elena González, will also attend the tournament.
